Baltkran won the auction for delivery of a container crane for the Kyshtym Copper Electrolytic Plant (ĘCEP)
ĘCEP — is one of the oldest metallurgical plants in the Urals. It was founded in 1757 by Nikita Demidov, of the famous Demidov industrial dynasty. At present, the plant is mainly involved in fire and electrolytic refining of blister copper, and producing copper products. The plant has been a part of a large metallurgical company since 2003. So the number of customers for container cranes of Baltkran has increased to 38, and ĘCEP has been the seventh new customer for the last three years.
A crane for ĘCEP is another milestone for Baltkran, it will be the 210th container crane which the company delivers. Capacity of the double cantilever crane is 41 t, hoisting height is 3+1 and the bridge length is 50 m. It will be used for serving 4 railroad tracks inside a span, for stacking operations and handling a workshop car transporting loaded/empty containers to and from the workshop. State-of-the-art video camera system will increase efficiency and improve safety of operations as well as the working conditions of a crane driver.
Baltkran commissioned a portal slewing crane capacity 32t, outreach 30m, for handling bulk with a grab as well as break bulk and containers with a spreader. The crane for Nornickel is designed for operation at severe climate of Russia’s Far North: extreme low temperatures, snow blizzards, rapid temperature change etc.
