BALTKRAN has won an international tender, held by a leading logistic German company for delivery of four rail mounted container cranes. The cranes will handle 20, 40, 45 ft containers at a new petrochemical plant. The container terminal is designed for throughput 2 mil. t. of polypropylene and polyethylene a year.
High performance container cranes having capacity 36t will operate 24 hours. Bridge length is mote than 60 m, that will allow each crane handling 12 rows of containers with stacking height 4+1, plus a rail track and a truck lane. The cranes will operate at low temperatures -50C, as well as at significant temperature differences and exposure to snow. Delivery of the crane is planned for 2 quarter 2018, commissioning before the end of 2018. "We are very happy to get a new order for four container cranes. Our customers trust us and place repeat orders. This order followed delivery of a container crane to the customer which has been in operation for 3 years at extremely low temperatures" said Marina Kaffeeva, head of marketing department. In the beginning of 2017 Baltrkan commissioned a container crane for a paper mill in Ust-Ilimsk capacity 50t. The wide span gantry crane will load/unload products of the mill in containers to rail wagons and trucks.
