In July 2006 Kaliningrad joint-stock company Baltkran - manufacturer of the complex lifting equipment - was officially accepted as a member of the international Port Equipment Manufactures Association PEMA. PEMA was introduced in 2004 as the largest international association of our hemisphere, among the members of this association there are such leading lifting equipment manufactures as Liebherr (FRG), Kalmar Industries (Finland), ZPMC (China), RAM (England), Bromma Conquip (Sweden) and a number of others. PEMA receives a coordination support from ITA (Industrial Truck Association), that is situated in the other hemisphere - the USA, which unites port equipment manufactures in the USA, Canada and Mexico. The fact that Baltkran was accepted to PEMA, as yet a single Russian crane construction company, means, firstly that Baltkran is accepted on the international level as a manufacture of port lifting equipment, that has been operating for already more than 10 years in many ports of the world: on terminals in Los-Angeles (USA), Hamburg (FRG), Dourges (France), Singapore, Melbourne and Sidney (Australia) and others. Secondly, Baltkran cooperation with leading companies from Europe, Asia and Australia - under the auspices of PEMA - means higher level of crane projects in elaboration on the basis of international standards, better environmental safety during equipment operation. And finally it is additional experience, to the one that Baltkran already have, in using in work Russian standards as well as foreign ones, and increase of goods handling efficiency in Russian and world ports.
As a result crane ordering parties and economy of the countries involved will be in profit.
