Baltkan to deliver a new container crane for Trans-Urals | |||||

Another double cantilever container crane will be produced by Baltkran for Kurgan (Trans-Urals). Capacity of the crane is 41 t, span is 25 m, hoisting height is 2+1, and stacks will be located between crane legs. The crane will be used for increasing throughput of intermodal container terminal. New container crane will be equipped with slewing telescopic spreader and ergonomic rotating operator cabin ensuring panoramic view and optimal conditions for safe operation and maximal efficiency. The crane will also be equipped with an effective system that prevents container sway. Frequency control will ensure smooth and safe movements as well as energy saving due to optimal load mode. The crane will be delivered at the end of 2011. Erection works will be performed by team of Baltkran’s technical service. Baltkan will deliver 6 heavy-duty cranes to Ural in 2011.
