Baltkran continues to implement modernization, expansion of production facilities and reequipment of workshops.

New equipment for mechanical treatment of components and units as well as for blasting of plate, pipes and sections surfaces was put into operation in 2011.

A new high-duty milling and boring machining unit replaces three old boring machines. The speed of components machining of the unit is 7 times higher than maximal speed of the old machines. Weight and dimensions of machining components are 1,5 times bigger than old ones; accuracy of machining has been 10 times increased.

Multifunction turning and milling machining center with CNC is equal in performance to 6 turning, 2 drilling and one boring machine.

Last generation shot blasting unit with metal heating during winter is designed for high quality cleaning of all surfaces from rust and plate scale before delivering to a cutting workshop. This will allow not only to improve the quality of following cutting and welding but also to reduce cost for replacement of consumables.

The new equipment will allow increasing production capacity of mechanical and cutting workshops, reducing periods of manufacturing of units and whole cranes, improving quality, reliability, durability and service life of cranes.
