Baltkran for Baltiyskaya NPP | |||||

Baltrkan won a tender for supply of three overhead cranes for Baltiyskaya NPP One of the cranes will be installed in the bay of metal depot built for receiving, storing and distribution of metal to workshop of reinforcement units. The crane will unload reinforcement units and sheet products. Two other cranes will operate in the workshop of reinforcement units manipulating large work pieces after assembly and welding of units. Baltrkan has recently completed delivery of two overhead cranes for Novovoronezh NPP. Wide-span cranes capacity 50 t and 15 t will unload and assemble main and auxiliary equipment of the plant and perform works during plant operation. These cranes will be installed in the lower bay of the machine hall of NPP, another overhead crane of Baltkran capacity 440t will operate in the upper bay. Baltkran manufactured 10 sophisticated cranes for Novovoronezh NPP for operation in the machine hall, on a trestle bridge and at logistics centers. Cranes correspond to high requirements for safety of A and B groups. "We are happy with growth in demand in the first quarter of 2011" said Oleg Ermolaev president and general director of Baltkran, "Our order intake was high and was supported by several large projects"
